Well, I do think they are willing to work on it (they might even be working on it right now) but a complete redesign would most probably take quite a lot of work to do properly, so I would not expect a solution to the alarm woes very soon. -- copperstate

The alarm (and probably the whole system(software design) is simply broken and there's no need for experiments on your side to fix it since you can't. Indeed the alarm was broken from the very beginning. It only kinda worked with 7.4.2 in parts of February/March. With version before 7.4.2 and even
