The biggest advantage to Sirius/XM is that it is very mobile. Beyond
that, unless you just have to have Howard Stern, it has very limited
content.
Whereas a SqueezeBox type device has almost limitless content with
literally tens of thousands of streams from every corner of the globe.
However,

Help me out here. Where are you quoting from?
Likely the release notes from the latest SBS server / firmware build.

Nice euphemism for saying: we still couldn't really fix it nearly 10

True - but I'll take it. My radio mostly works now, which is better
than it was a few months ago. Maybe I've lowered the bar but at
Yep all my problems still there on 7.5.1 with MSB.com - I've never know
such crap firmware updates from a company. I thought Draytek were bad
with their firmware updates until I bought a SB Radio.
Anyone know where I can get 7.4.2 firmware from?

Sirius music channels do not have commercials. Talk shows like MSNBC do
have commercials.

Version 7.5.1 9009 was pushed to my Radio yesterday.
I use MSB.com
The problems I was having (radio turning off by itself; radio turning
on by itself) seem to be gone.
Set alarm for this morning using a radio stream - worked.
Seems far more stable than 8837 so far. Time will tell.

Plus it should be noted that subscribing to the Sirius online streaming
service does not get you satellite radio service. You pay one fee for
online streaming and one fee for sat radio service. Also, all stations
that are on their sat service ARE NOT streamed on their online service.

Hello everyone!
I am the proud new owner of a Squeezbox and love it already!
I understood how it work however there is one thing I can't figure:
How can I use the radio on my squeezbox without my PC turned on?
I mean, is there a way to configure my router at home, and my Squeezbox
account in
Place switch to MySqueezeBox.com onto your Radio's home menu.
Radio Settings Home Menu switch to MySqueezeBox.com
Then simply navigate Radio to that new home menu item, select it, it
should connect Radio to MySqueezeBox.com
Typically there is nothing else you need to do, router or otherwise.
Hi Toby10,
Thank you for your kind reply!
I'm sorry to be blunt (or dumb!) but where is that menu Radio's home
menu?
Is it on the Squeezzbox itself, or on my Squeezbox account, or my
Squeezbox server?
I am not used to this technology and there is so many things attached
to that little box!
It is on your SB Radio menu (I presume you are using the SB Radio type
player as you posted in the Radio forum).
On Radio's home menu scroll down to Settings.
If you are not using that model of player (Radio) just say which SB
model you have and we'll get you streaming directly from

In my efforts to find a good Podcast client that works with the SBR, it
LOOKS LIKE Mediafly is a great candidate--after all, it's right there
on the SBR and in the APPS also. It works great as far as it goes,
but I'd like to be able to customize it more. This seems like it
should be easy
Does Odeo not exist anymore? I can't access their website and there
is nothing on the SBR except the menu item for ODEO--which produces
an error message? I thought at first that the SBR may not handle
OTML files (), but maybe it is just plain GONE?

Their site
Yeah, but it ships between 2 - 4 weeks. Good deal if you don't mind
waiting. It's also a post-purchase rebate, so you have to pay $150 up
front.
