Does anyone know what affects the speed of the Radio boot up time? Is it
possible to speed up the time it takes to boot?
Im sure my radio takes longer to start up now than it used to when I
first bought it, but that could just be my false perception

My radio refused to get any station. I pressed shutdown button twice to
shut down completely. Restart (reboot) cleared everything up. The
software does seem flakey. Sometines an image, sometines not, etc.

Not officially, but if you want to use an unofficial solution you can:
1. Install Patch Installer through Settings/Advanced/Applet Installer
2. Install the Custom alarm window patch through
Settings/Advanced/Patch Installer
3. Install the Custom Clock applet through Settings/Advanced/Applet

I'm on the west coast US, and I've walked past my radio several times in
the past 7 days and observed the familiar Connecting to
MySqueezebox.com screen, which eventually times out, offers a try
