Simply create a playlist of your radio stream. Then set that playlist as alarm sound. Works very well. I get woken every morning by my favourite radio station. I should mention that I run a local SBS server. -- Pascal Hibon 2 x SB3, 1 x SB Boom and 1 x SB Radio - all wireless ReadyNAS NVX runn

I use a radio stream and it works well. The couple of times that it hasn't been there, usually a local network problem, it falls back to a default alarm. -- kc5f kc5f's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?us

Can you save the link to the radio stream as a favorite, then use that as your alarm sound? One thing to consider, however, is the "reliability" of the live radio stream for an alarm... -- tcutting tcutting's Profile: http

Does anyone know if it's possible to use the Squeezebox Radio as a radio alarm? I.e. instead of having a fixed sound to wake up to, being able to set a radio station and wake up to live radio. I can't see how to do this. -- Terry Scotcher

Cheers. I am using Triodes iPlayer applet for the BBC streams and up until yesterday it was fine. Today and yesterday I got the exact same problem. Alarm started, played for a few seconds correctly and then fallback alarm thumped in. It looks very much like what wonder boy experienced in post 2:

Hi ModelCitizen. Are you using BBCiPlayer for listening to BBC? On another thread we found out, that for some reason the BBC streams (i.e. the URLs where the streams come from) get swapped at certain times. This led to a small audio pause of one or two seconds which in turn made the Radio think

I've been using the radio since I first received one for the beta program. I run it wireless on a local SqueezeCenter (7.51, r9218). The system has not been fiddled with orvipgraded for ages (i.e. The new problem is not due to environment change). My alarm fires up BBC Radio 4 (current playlist).
