Rather than using the Shoutcast directory on your SB, if you know the

Thanks Andy. It doesn't sound like we will have ShoutCast in the near

Does your statement quite reliably mean 100% reliable?
The alarm might have its quirks, but it does reliable wake me up every
morning at the correct time (also if the DSL modem is off or my server
is down for maintenance). :)

Sadly must agree with the consensus here - but the stupidity of it it
makes me weep.
The radio is so clearly marketed as a bedside radio/alarm and it could
have had mass market appeal - had it not failed so abysmally at this
one basic function. I know it's an awesome network music player, and

Actually, I bought a Radio so it can sit on my desk at work and play
music, rather than for an alarm clock. I didn't want the larger size of
the Boom, and I'm not playing it real loud, so Stereo isn't an issue.
Plus I like to see the album art as well, and the weather screensaver

I belong to those that - with the help of a local server - has 99,5%
reliable alarms.
I'm waking up every day for work to a radio stream I configured.
Only in 1% of cases I hear the fallback alarm.
As I'm one of those who has deep insights into the alarm code I also
trust it's fallback mechanism

While I don't like Apple at all, I fail to imagine they will be

Of course, if the iPhone was built by Logitech, they (and the fanboys)
would claim that the alarm clock was not important anyway, as it's a

Guess we see Radio Alarm packs (i.e. DuctTape kits) soon :D
