Am I missing something here? I thought I needed my pc on to access
internet radio. I'm also having problems with stations being 'flakey'.
I can't listen to LBC without the broadcast re-buffering every couple
of seconds. Can't be my router, as it has always been ok in the past.

You are missing something, Rob.
Squeezeboxes can work to a local server you have installed on a
computer on your local network, or to Logitech's server on the internet

There is a Squeezebox menu item to switch between them.

Just recently, some stations on my SBR have been dropping frequently.
One in particular is Londons LBC. I found this station through the
Internet Radio menu, and set it as a preset. The signal seems to drop
then return, so I get conversations that are jumpy. Has anyone else had
this problem, or
This happens to me a lot. The SB Radio stops playing - always at the end
of a song, and the wireless icon turns blue
When I check the server - the SBS has just stopped. It starts up again

In addition, my modem is smart and automatically selects a channel
without interference

I just don't think it is an inherent problem with all SB Radio's. Like
others in here I do not have such issues with my WiFi Radio.
It's either your radio (return it) or your WiFi environment (fix it).
There is nothing really smart about auto switching WiFi ch's, most
WiFi routers do that, even
