I've had my SBR for a year now. I use it entirely for wireless internet
radio in the kitchen in the mornings. It's great when it works, but it
suffers from the typical drop-out issues that other folk have reported.
Now it's stopped working entirely and has been sitting lifeless on the
counter for

I just wanted to note that my attached log file starts with a
successful alarm set on the day before. Scroll a bit down for the
unsuccessful one.

It's linked in post #2 of this thread, but here it is again:

(Bug description says Touch, but later on is discovered to affect both
Touch and Radio.)
I love the squeezebox, I've had it for a year and half. But the updates
cause so many problems. I can't believe after having been on the market
for so long we still experience these problems.
Currently running 7.6.0 r9458

I totally agree. This trivial little bug pissed me off so much I
actually voted for it.

Hhmm - ok :(
Will try myself on the weekend, when I find some time.

I tried the change you suggested, but squeezeboxserver didn't even start
up.
It's strange to see that the server drifts that much. This is an issue
i have to look into further. I use it for web and local services and
didn't notice any odd behaviour so far (it's running for almost 6 years

It's broken for a couple of weeks now. Can't believe that it takes so
long to fix it. Really annoying when it starts playing in the middle of
the night... Un-syncing solves it for the time being.

I looked into the code around the message that the alarm will be ignored
and found the following text:
# Check if this alarm is still current - we could be running really
late due to hibernation or similar
ok - this gives a little clue, but you said your server does run 24/7.
So I digged a bit d

We talked about the /var/log/messages file directly on the Radio.

I have done it both ways - think the last was via the radio - I'll do
them again

In the URL you see in the browser there's a "lines=1000" item at the
end. Change that to someth

I think that it's a firmware problem, and so we'll have to wait until
our Radio and/or Touch get updated before seeing any improvement.

Are you configuring alarms directly on the Radio?
Or via the WebUI?
Try to configure it on the Radio - only then you can make sure, the
Radio really knows about the alarm time.
I would also reconfigure the alarms. If neither the Radio knows about
the alarm, nor the server sends a signal at alarm
This morning I got no alarm or backup for my first alarm, but the second
one went off on time. The only 'issue' with the second alarm was that
it seemed to have been stuck in a short fast stutter. Attached is this
morning log from the radio. As you can see nothing was logged in it
from almost 7
Okay...
Now it's not my SB Radio but my Touch which is switching itself on. So
the Latest Nightly did not help :(
