I am not experiencing any difficulties with standby mode. Pressing the
power switch brings up the clock just as usual.

Seems like 7.7.0 firmware has a bug, which is blocking Stand-By Mode of
the Squeezebox.
Since the update the only thing I can do is switch my SB off by holding
power for some seconds. Just pressing it returns a sound, but has no
effect
