Correct. The main speaker makes this... tinny hissing noise... for a
few seconds after the sound effect (beep-boop-blorp) occurs. More of a
curiosity.

I assume you mean the speaker on the Radio itself, not Line Out to a
different speaker. Mine Radio's speaker sure doesn't exhibit such
behavior.

I just picked up a used Radio - every time I adjust something (push a
button, rotate the knob, etc), there's a tinny noise comes from the
speaker. Like a tinny white noise, and after a few seconds, it stops.
Doesn't affect playback, but just wondering if that's normal. Almost
like a ground

I recently bought two used Boom radios. Both where setup with the
previous owner accounts. I called Logitech tech support and they deleted
both accounts and set them up to my accounts all while I was on the
phone with them. It only took a few minutes.
Just an update -got nowhere with support, wound up returning it.

Sounds complicated to me but it's good that you have found a way to
reverse the UE "upgrade" on an SBRadio.
More importantly (IMO), can a newly purchased UERadio be "downgraded" to
the more functional SBRadio? Wouldn't that be more applicable for adding
the new UE devices to an existing Squeezebo
