I'm pretty sure UESmartradio.com works exactly like MySqueezebox.com That said: MySqueezebox.com's servers are no longer in Germany, they are at Amazon in Ireland and also the streams don't go through MySqueezebox.com, however, it's probably MySB (or UESR.com) negotiating them with the BBC

My recollection is that the problem of low bitrate for UK residents when using mysb.com only happens with the WMA streams. IIRC I think the AAC streams use a different detection system and so may play the higher rate streams. However that depends on the UEradio offering the AAC streams.
