Well it turns out the issue was the router... I kind of had a feeling
since both squeezebox wifi devices had the same issue. Last week I
performed a firmware update which caused the problem. Once I reset the
router to factory setting and then restored the settings all is well. At

Never used a battery. I've tried holding the power button down as well
as holding the + button while plugging it in with no success.

Guest network? Sounds like the WiFi devices are on a different network
than your LMS host computer.
