I frequently have the problem that the Radio will not recognise that the
charger connector has been inserted. I do not hear the beep and the
battery does not charge. It can take at least three reconnections before
the Radio realises the power supply is connected. Has anyone else seen

Mine does this sometimes too (plugged/unplugged extremely infrequently
and very carefully each time), and frankly I've heard this from lots of
people so I'm afraid it's a pretty standard fail for a Radio. I didn't
come across any obvious methods of fixing it either.

I am pretty sure my connector is not loose but next time it happens I
will switch it on and off at the wall socket to eliminate the socket on
the Radio. Mine has always done this from new.

I don't think they are loose, I think they are rubbish..

One of my Radios is affected, too. Not a big problem with this one cause
it's usually plugged in. I reminded the family members to never ever
unplug it. :)

One time when it happened to me it was a radio that normally sits on the
bedroom table plugged in. I had used it elsewhere and not noticed that
it wasn't charging. I finally realised when the battery was completely
discharged and the radio wouldn't turn on. After panicking a few
