There is a Product called Plasti Dip - try this instead.
If you didnt have two left hands - the result is very good.
I have the same problem on my UE Radio / Squeezebox. I used a cleaning
product with something in it, either alcohol or bleach. Sadly it was
fine for 10 years before I tried to clean it :(
