Two possible things to try, the first of which is easy to forget:
- a hard power recycle, including removing the Radio battery, if one is
fitted. Solves all sorts of things!
- more drastic, a factory re-set.
It just feels to me that the problem Radio is not responding to attempts
to re-config
Turns out the hiccup with the Controller may have been the Receiver.
The Receiver just dropped dead in the past 24 hours. A fresh power
supply, and it is back up as good as new.
Otherwise, the one Touch/Extender combo in the distant outbuilding
eventually was automatically moved to the nearest
