Yep, I've seen exactly the same thing. My normal behaviour is
* at night put on random album mix, volume in the 20s
* set sleep for 60 minutes
* alarm is set for volume in the 50s, but comes on in the 20s (ie, as
you describe)
I mention that I use sleep in case

Ditto :) I had a look at all the lua and Perl but couldn't -quite-
figure out what populates the list of hours and makes them
(un)choosable

When I go to set an alarm's sound, one of the choices I get is "the
current playlist". Does that help?

I can choose any value for the hour except 6. I know I can go set the
alarm on mysqueezebox.com and so on, but still! Has anyone else seen
this?
