Must test this again. I used to extensively use iPlayer extras catch-up
on the SB but it stopped working a long time ago and every time I tried
it recently the only thing that works is live stream. All the others
wind up in broken links or one failure or another..

"Can't open file" usually means the plugin is not working or transcoding
is not set up- cache would have no effect in this case.
More info always helpful
Did the plugin ever work ? has it suddenly stopped ? What sort of
player ? Can you play ordinary AAC streams

I didn't try the same links in the middle of the week, but some links do
work, so it can't be my set up. The annoying thing is, the links that do
work, aren't the programs I want to listen to :(.

Many of these questions have already been answered at beginnng of Nov
when BBC made the announcement stopping WMA service and killing program

The stopping of WMA at end of Dec 21014 will affect more users more

I've never used the iPlayer plugin, but I do use the unofficial BBC

Hello all,
I'm getting "Failed To Parse" errors on virtually all my feeds from the
BBC and their iPlayer services now, not just legacy / historical
programmes. It used to be as close to 100% reliable as was feasible
too. :-(
Also, even when I do manage to find a (recent) programme to listen to

The WMA R4 Extra URL is still the R7 URL

Enabled just WMA, and that didn't work either. Funny thing is though, if
I go through the process of selecting a program in iplayer extras,
through the web interface, it starts playing, but I can't select a
program through the radio itself.

Can you just enable WMA so disable all the AAC options.
Does the problem with all programs accessed from any of the Extras
menus or is it limited to a few specific menus ?
