"Can't open file" usually means the plugin is not working or transcoding is not set up- cache would have no effect in this case. More info always helpful Did the plugin ever work ? has it suddenly stopped ? What sort of player ? Can you play ordinary AAC streams -

Playing live radio is a BBCiPlayer plugin issue not a BBCiPlayerExtra plugin issue. In the case of Radio4 Extra live being initiated from BBCiPlayer plugin I think if the preference is AAC live or WMA - then the BBC supplies the wrong URL to the plugin. The WMA R4 Extra URL is still the R7 URL

Enabled just WMA, and that didn't work either. Funny thing is though, if I go through the process of selecting a program in iplayer extras, through the web interface, it starts playing, but I can't select a program through the radio itself. -- Robm1955 --
