I just thought all this might be pretty uninteresting and a little
confusing to non hardware beta testers, but I suppose they can just
ignore this

I'm sure they would have asked for them back by now if they wanted
them.
I believe the beta Radio was a somewhat unique situation with SB beta
units being non production units.

What I was getting at is that I was unaware that the Radio should be
returned as I don't follow the forum as closely as I used to. Perhaps
I've missed other announcements?

Robin: The SB Radio will continue to work albeit with the Beta Warning
and some functions will not work. Like no battery use. At some point it
will not longer work properly just like the PB1 Touch units that had to
go back. Check into the Beta Forum where Mickey has all the
instructions there.
Thanks - I've already posted here:

I don't recall the intention at the time, but...
Did Logitech ever promise that all beta testers would get free
batteries? Or just that they would get battery-capable Radios in
exchange for their beta Radios? I'm not really sure...

Hi,
I just dug out my Radio beta unit to go in the garage. I've not used it
for a while, and when it fires up I get a message saying something like
Beta hardware - some functions may not work.
After a firmware update, it seems to be working just fine.
My question: is there anything specific
AFAIK, the only functionality difference in Beta radio's vs
production/retail Radio's is the battery will not work on a beta unit.
Been using my beta Radio daily since entering the beta program and I've
yet to find a function it cannot perform.
Beta units are hardware version 1, production/retail

Will the battery pack work with it?
No, as I've understood it the battery pack requires the production
version.

Why not send it back and get a production unit. Its bad form to keep
beta units out in the wild. They need to go to the recycle shredder

You want to see the signal path BEFORE it gets onto a CD/vinyl...it
ain't what you'd call minimal...
