Another thought. http may work over https if the stream is being played direct by player (i.e. player not "proxied" by LMS) and player looks at stream's MIME (audio/acc) rather than LMS slimproto format . I have "proxied" enabled for the player to avoid this situation.

There is a problem in LMS - it determines the types as MP3 initially and l;ater updates it to AAC but the cache is not updated. The stream plays OK if initial checking the cache for contenttype is commented out (code in red) - in file Slim/Schema.pm Proper fix would be to ensure cache is updated

Strange I just booted up my desktop for a quick whiz round and tried the SBTouch and ByGolly again. Clicked on play and Sherlock Holmes was in the room :) No buffering at all, just straight off playing ! ronnie

st...@bygolly.com is the contact. Is their format completely incompatible with Squeezebox favorites? Seems to be. All I was looking for is a way to add it to my favorites on mysqueezebox.com without having to resort to other methods. Oh well, there are many other stations to listen to.

It is an AAC stream in http/ADTS format The stream has a MIME as audio/aac but extension of mp3 so there may be some confusion in LMS - need to look at some logs. Mplayer can't play it but ffplay can but that maybe due to https.
