I've never done this particular upgrade/downgrade, so I'm not the best
person to ask. Certainly you can upload the firmware with WinSCP, and I
believe even edit the SetupFirmwareUpgradeMeta.lua file.
But I've never tried setting up a symlink via WinSCP -- is that
possible?

Log-in through WinSCP works thanks. It appears to me that I don't need
Putty, and can do all the work through WinSCP?

1) *ls -l* will give you the contents of the current directory
*pwd* tells you the name of the current directory
*cd [directoryname]* moves you from the current directory into
[directoryname], one level lower. You can move multiple levels via "*cd
dir1/dir2/dir3*"
cd .. moves you up one level
I have played with various SSH commands per previous posts to
familiarize myself with Putty - so far, so good. I must confess that I
have no idea where the authors of the posts got the command lines codes
from but that is not really at issue.

The downgrade fried my Radio. Logitech is kind enough to send me a new

I am hoping that some generous soul will put together the definitive
guide to this conversion.

A very sad failure of my 4 month old SqueezeBox (SB) Wifi card results
in Logitech sending me a replacement UE Smart Radio (SR). I had
"upgraded" another SB to the newer platform and was not happy so I
retrograded it back to the 7.7.n firmware. That is how the situation
will remain until there a
