Glad it's sorted - I have to say my initial reaction when you said you
were on a Mac was that would be the problem but I get tired of abusing
poor mac users :)

I resolved the problem. The squeezebox server was not playing nice with
safari
web browser.Clearing the safari cache and resetting safari on my mac
completely resolved the artwork issue.
I certainly didnt expect this but it did work
My suggestion to anyone having artwork issue on a mac or pc is t
I have all of my artwork embedded in each music file and always had all
artwork show up until this 7.5 and 7.51 updates. Now it is just all
over the place. If Im on my mac computer if I refresh the page, some
artwork that is missing will show up.If I do a full rescan, artwork that
was once there is
I don't embed my art but that does sound a weird problem. I take it you
have deleted the cache etc before doing a full rescan?
Are you saying that it's messed up in the SB server screen or on the SB
Radio screen (or both?)

Yes I have cleaned the cache and then done a full rescan.
The problem is both on the web page and the radio, ipeng(after a cache
clean)
Logitech really needs to rethink the artwork scanning process. I can't
Believe I'm the only one with this type of issue.

are you able to interrogate the MySql database to see what is being
stored for an example album that is exhibiting the problem?

No - I had to install the MySQL tools. You probably need some
rudimentary knowledge of relational databases and Structured Query
Language too

OK - I *think* I got to the bottom of this - when you scan for new and
changed, it checks for new music files and music files with a different
timestamp/size to that in the database.
If you have just added the cover.jpg to the folder and not edited the
file in anyway then it won't pick it up in t
Not sure how the scan determines new and changed files and whether this
is limited just to music files ie. it will pick up if you embed cover
art into your music files and it doesnt look for new folder.jpg files
that have been added into directories.
You can use the rescan plugin and have it do a
Did a bit more digging through the database and it looks like the COVER
field in the TRACKS table is only populated for the first track in an
album
All the other tracks in that album seem to pick up their cover from the
ARTWORK field in the ALBUMS table. This field contains the ID of the
track in

Thanks for that - yes a full clear & rescan
Strangely enough I did a Clean install(maybe the third one) went to the
web page and alot of the artwork was still missing.I then started to
refresh the web page where each artist that didnt have album artwork
was displayed and amazingly the artwork would show up.
Sometimes I had to add it to the

My Now playing usually shows "Nothing" while I am testing it to set it
up. Going to be a great Mother's Day gift

Yep there is a field in the datab
Additional info I've noticed
When it plays a track that has a cover.jpg file in the directory but it
doesn't display the cover art in the "now playing" screen - if I click
"more" and go to the option to view the album art - it displays the
cover.jpg fine
So the problem is just with the Now Playi
I've been going through my music library inserting missing album art (in
the album folder as a file called cover.jpg) and generally this has been
working fine - but every now and then the SB Radio doesn't seem to want
to display an album
At first I thought it maybe the SB Server database scan not
