Please see this thread. You could now have Japanese, Latin,
Traditional Chinese and Simplified Chinese on the radio. Not sure about
Koean as I don't have any Koean songs.

This has been a known issue for a couple of years at least. It really

It looks like the current fonts for the Controller (and since the Radio
and Touch use same underlying software, those as well) don't support
Japanese and Chinese characters.
There's an article on the "wiki" which suggests a method for adding
fonts for the controller - should be similar process for
Seriously, all the Japanese (and Chinese) characters show up as squares.

I just bought the SB radio and this is unexpected, I have a cheap $30
MP3 player which have no problem displaying Japanese characters. :(
