Rather like a car, the battery does not charge when it is turned off.
Radio has two off states the "sleep" state where most people have
theirs set to display a clock. It does charge the battery in the sleep
state. Then there is the off state, if you have pressed and held the

I'm using 7.6 and a local server, so I don't experience the problems as
all my radio listening (wich is not much) goes trough my server,(wich
uses mysbs.com in the background for some tasks).

the web interface...

could select the input. Dumb, perhaps, but other devices I own let me
keep an input device plugged in... Even my little clock radio.

maybe try the download again ? it is possible from some menu to
reinstall the same fw .
If that fails, install firmware from mysqueezebox.com again ,that is
also an option in some menu .
Otherwise contact support, they do test radio fw for weeks before
letting it out ? as their is no card reader
Just a shot in the dark but, when "line in" is active the volume for the
players is lost. Was the "line in" function accidentally activated.

Turn it *really* Off a couple of times ,long press on the power button
.
Do this while the power cable is connected.
I do try beta software 7.6 9037 and my radio went bonkers after upgrade
,but was ok after a couple of restarts from true Off.

Try a factory reset? This will erase your wifi pw & radio preferences,
but it might be worth it if it's your last resort.
Hold power button until it shuts off. Press & hold the "+" (plus)
button as you press the power button to turn it back on until you see
the factory reset screen.

Yes, I've uplugged and restarted everything I can think of...
including the modem and router and SB radio.
BTW, the radio works ok on my two SB Touch's.
Sigh.

Well I had a few good months with the Squeezebox radio. Over the past
few days, I downloaded latest software (7.5.1 9009) and inserted the
