The Audio Settings on my two Radios are "pause at power off and resume

Hi, sorry for another bump after a long while.
I've just had this with my radio last night. The power on setting is
already set so it doesn't auto play yet the radio turned on and started
playing in the middle of the night, it's my alarm so I can't move it to
another room.
Radio is wired and
Occasionally I see one of my Radios or my Touch rebooting itself for no
obvious reason. Happens (always?) from stand-by (clock) screen, so
afterwards the device is on...

I've said this in some previous threads: I see exactly the same thing.
The Radio screen saver is often not in its proper state. I don't think
the Radio's firmware was ever completely debugged, and it never will be,
since nobody is doing any further work on it.
Could also be some overlooked issue

Has anyone ever figured out the actual cause of this problem and/or a

You don't expose your LMS to the internet, do you?

Sorry for reviving this old thread, but it seems to be the most recent
one discussing this issue.
I've been running multiple Squeezeboxes v3 (Classics) since the Slim
Devices era. A few months ago I added two Squeezebox Radios to my
network, and I began having the problem of the Radios occasiona

I chose in settings that my SBEn should stay stopped when started. So
they shouldn't begin play after such failure. But I couldn't survey
another restart till now. So I don't know if that would be a suitable
workaround.

It just happened again that i came home and one of the radios was
playing because it restarted itself and was turned on after that restart
although it was turned off before the restart. Is there really nothing
that we can do about this issue?

Right now, my SB Radio in the Bathroom started new.
After the Splashscreen ("Free your music") there was a message something
similar like that

I have tried unplugging the radios and restarting the server computer
but it is difficult to know if worked to fix the issue since it does not

I have used synchronization but not in a great while. It seems that it

causing it. I will leave it to you more technical people to figure it

I'm not :-). I've faced this problem on one single Radio only (we got
four of them around the house, plus some Touches, a Transporter etc.).

I am convinced this is occurring due to either a wireless interruption

and none of the electronics in our household experience this type of
interruption yet my radios have been doing this for years now.

I agree -- as I said in my note above, I think it's power fluctuations.
Only happens with the Radio and Touch. Doesn't require an actual power

The Radio and the Touch use the 'baby' firmware and the Transporter,
Boom and Classic use the 'fab4' firmware. I'm wondering if the problem
is limited only to the 'baby' firmware?
fab4 is the Touch, baby the Radio. The others don't use any of these
firmwares. Where did you get above impression
My two Radios and two Touches regularly turn themselves on (to the point
that each night I go to my LMS webpage and turn them off if they've
turned themselves on). My two Transporters, my Boom and my Classic never
turn themselves on. I'm wondering if it's linked to the firmware types.

I have this issue too - it's the only thing that isn't quite perfect
about my Squeezebox setup.
I have two Radios, and it seems to be more common with the one that is
cabled than the one that is connected via wifi.

Happened to my radios and touch occasionally. They are actually
restarted (reboot), not turned on. I hope someone find a solution for
it.

For unknown reasons squeezebox Touch can turn on the backlight on the

I can try that. What is the restart order? Touch with TinyLMS first,
then the radios.
Yes, I'd say so.

I've had this for a while, but was never able to reproduce it at will. I
think what finally "fixed" it for me was to shut down both player and
server, and start again. Only restarting one of them didn't work, as the
other end probably still had some state saved.

This happens to me, too. I try to make sure that the playlist on the
radio is fully ended before turning it off, otherwise it sometimes just
starts to play where it left off. I think it might have to do with
power fluctuations, as none of my SB devices are plugged into a UPC.
Same thing appears
