For some time I've been enjoying the excellent BBC 320k broadcasts and am looking for some way of recording the feed on my laptop. I have downloaded some concerts from the iPlayer, but these are almost all at 128kb, and there is, of course, a noticeable deterioration in quality. Is there a

You can save the live HTTP/AAC feed to a file using mplayer. This will record the AAC audio stream exactly as transmitted with no decoding or transcoding unlike applications which capture audio from soundcard. It is not user friendly and any scheduling and file naming will have to be done
