I have a SB2, SB3, a Boom and 3 Radios (2 are UE and 1 is Logitech, but
they are all converted to be a Logitech Radio). The SB2, SB3 and Boom
are all connected via ethernet, and the Radios are all WiFi. Randomly I
will go to one of the Radios and the WiFi icon will be red. Sometimes

If you are using DHCP, check if the IP address of the LMS server changes
between working and not connected ?
If this is the issue - fix IP address of LMS server either though DHCP
(e.g. IP address assigned to specific MAC) or set IP address of LMS
server to be static (i.e. not use DHCP) .
If restarting the LMS helps, I would guess the root cause is somewhere
in there. Looks like LMS is disconnecting the radios on purpose. Did you
check LMS logs close to the moment where a radio got disconnected?
PN me if your Boom / Classic / Transporter display has issues!

I'm not sure I know how to check the logs. I will try see f
Simple, just click -settings- in the bottom-right corner of what you see
when connected to your LMS in a browser (http://:9000), then go
to the rightmost tab -Information-, scroll all the way down until you
see some hyperlinks for Logitech Media Server log files and Scanner log
files. The former
Thanks, I checked the logs. I noticed the red WiFi symbol on the Radio
on 11/23. I am pretty sure everything I am posting below came after I
started messing with it. For example, I see an entry saying "starting
LMS" at 2:01PM, but that was when I stopped and restarted LMS.

7.7.5 is an old version of LMS.
I'd update to 7.9.2 just in case there is some old bug (there is one on
Windows bug with "select task failed" but I think yours is due to a
player that has gone offline)
The IP addresses trying to connect are strange 5.8.18.88 and

oh yeah, that looks like someone is attempting to break in. Better close
the inbound IP ports towards your LMS if possible. It's really hazardous
to keep these ports open. Shutting them off will still allow you to
control your devices from your internal Wi-Fi and ethernet, but not from
outside yo
by the way, this line suggests your LMS does not have logon data for

I have it open so I can listen to my music in my car or at the gym. I
also have the remote desktop port opened because I have to be able to
remote in to my computer from the outside. But now that I have Spotify
on my phone I guess I do not need the external access like I once did.
As far as
Also, I think some (not all) of those failed login attempts may come
from my phone. I "Squeeze Player" and the GUI "Squeezer". The only
reason I thin that is that at the same time I opened Squeezer on my
phone it generated on of those failed attempts and the IP address
appeared to be from Veriz
Please consider using some sort of VPN to connect to your home network
from outside. There are some by now which also offer connections from
smartphones.

Yeah, good idea. Thanks.
Any thoughts on the mysqueezebox.com log on from LMS? How do I know if
it is logging in successfully or not?

If either mentions "invalid login" then something is wrong. No mention
and all is likely fine.

I went to LMS->Settings->Mysb.com and no mention of invalid login.
Ok, it looks like I should upgrade to 7.9.2.
The good news is that since I have enabled the VPN service on my router
and used that for external access, I have had no more failed attempts
from random IP addresses. The only e
