I got lucky... I got a brand new Squeezebox Classic on eBay for UNDER
$200 after shipping! Typically even the slightly used ones had been
going for a bit over $210 so I got a great deal. Can't wait to give it
to her for christmas :-)

You can use the Squeezebox Radio to connect to a stereo, you just need
the right cable to get you RCA out from the headphone jack. The sound
quality will be fine.
It is the cheapest option at the moment at < $180, so unless you could
find a receiver or classic on ebay it seems like a good way to

Then I think that all you need to do is install Squeezebox Server
v7.4.1 on the iMac and stream wirelessly to the SB Radio.

Unless there are new features I haven't found yet, iPeng doesn't "Play"
Music, it controls Squeezebox Players. It sounds like
