assuming eric is the one with the bad mac address (ie he uses phils)
isn't the random pin part of setup supposed to prevent that?
also, i'm not sure its just a matter of eric entering phils mac addy,
but i can't say what it is, as i'm not behind the curtain. but i base
that hunch on my past ex

Just went into my web UI and dropped down the player list to find my
Radio has been renamed "Eric"! (sure enough it has changed in
server.prefs).
Now, I don't know an Eric, and certainly haven't changed my player name
from "Squeezebox Radio"...
