I'm still getting ads on the "Bossa Nova Hits" station.

At the beginning and, less frequently, during transmission.
I uninstalled the Tunein app, and, sure enough, the adds stopped.

probably a good chance the Tunein Radio app could be the culprit.
TBH: that's what I feared... they recently introduced a "premium" offer
(paid), which ofers, tata..., ad-free listening. BTW: do they interrupt

Yes that's right. Local ads on US internet radio stations.
I tuned them in using the Tunein Radio app in my Squeezebox.
Come to think of it, since I don't get any ads on my desktop, there's

my Squeezebox brings up advertising spots by local (Geneva, Switzerland)
