no we have changed the subject, but yes I do get a hard sound, not that
high but not really a big deal, I did it with a headset, I also have
the latest firmware
just don't reboot the device or unplug the speakers

Actually the very loud annoying noise on reboot also occurs when using
regular earphones, so it has nothing to do with 'powered'. Just plug
in a headset and you can confirm it's the SBR that is doing this. I

connect it to my sb radio.
about the reboot and the noise, that must be an issue that the speaker
are 'powered on' when your are rebooting the radio, must be some 'wrong
input' to the speakers from the sb radio.

latest 'final' version offered. I use the headphone jack to drive my
stereo system and it sounds very good. Assuming the 'speakers' you
intend to use offer a 'line level' input they should work equally
well.

radio, do like the colour display, works great but I would like get
some more sound in the kitchen, more bass. I had a noxon2 before, had a
good sound but no good firmware..
