That seems to be doing the trick - thank you very much! It's a great facility, by the way - really makes the Radio come into its own for me. Now if I can just get Napster going I will be extremely happy... -- starkhart st

There is a new version of the BBCRadio applet which should help with playing live streams when "WMA streams" is no selected. Please go to the applet installer menu and upgrade the applet. -- Triode Triode's Profile: http:

If you look back over forum postings - some users find the WMA streams more reliable than the AAC and vice versa - as streaming is decentralised there are regional variations. I can't offer any help about Napster since the service is not available to me. -- bpa

Thanks for that. I'm not convinced it's related to those problems though as this has been going on for a few days now. At least I have a way of using listen again, I guess. Don't suppose you have any idea on the Napster issue? My free 30 days trial is ticking down and i haven't used it yet.

The BBC seems to having problems with live stream today - look at the forums for other posts. Fore me - outside the UK R4 sounded like it was underwater on AAC but played OK on WMA. Usually you can use either AAC or WMA depending on your location and possibly signal strength and then stcik with i

Aha. I hadn't noticed this before. It was set to allow WMA streams. I turned this off and could then play 'listen again' files. However, I could only pay live streams if I turned WMA back on. Is that how it's supposed to work? Seems a bit of an effort each time I want to listen again... -- s

It shouldn't make much difference whether you are in the UK or not except if your radio has low speed connections. Use your PC to see if BBC iPlayer think you are outside the UK - you can't play TV outside the UK. Have you enabled WMA streams for the iPlayer applet ? -- bpa --

Yes I am in the UK - I was wondering if the radio somehow thinks I'm elsewhere (the weather applet appeared to think I was in Germany). I get full BBC menus for 'listen again' and I can play Live streams through the applet. -- starkhart -

It is unlikely the problems are related so deal with BBC one first. Do you get full BBC menus which show all the "Listen Again" programs ? Can you play Live streams through the applet ? Are you in the UK or outside the UK ? -- bpa ---
