While we're offering alternatives: I signed up for OrionVM and gave it a spin today. I'm reasonably happy with the web interface and console. It seems to be built entirely in JS, so if you refresh the page you get logged out. Also the console doesn't appear to play well with VI's modes. But...

I think micros are a decent size... it just seems about 1/3 of the time CPU get's starved for no apparent reason (when it otherwise does the same task with no problem). I've seen this happen when installing stuff from source. Compiling happily away and then bang no more CPU left. On Wed, May 11,

Personally, I just spin up Amazon EC2 instances myself or use heroku these days. Amazon micro instances are roughly $12 a month and are pretty damn decent for everything I need to do on a small scale. YMMV.
