I'm sure they would not have to pay for it. Perhaps approaching Github about
getting a sponsored organisation could be a way to go. It would also be a great

Technically we don't really need a wiki for Hack Night either. It just happens
to be how we started off organising it, and it works.
However I agree with Nathan if we can find a better solution for attendance
management than the wiki, we probably don't really need a wiki...

I believe we need a wiki for specifying attendance/cancellations for Hack Night
or other space-limited events. Volunteering to talk at a night is low volume
enough to be handled by an organiser. It'd be good to revive the Mentor page.
Everyone already has a Github account and Github provides the
Wouldn't it make sense to write a new something using snap (Haskel)? That would

I would go further and question the need for the wiki at all. These are the
only pages that are actively used:
http://wiki.rubyonrails.com.au/index.php/Rorosyd_hack_meetup
By the way, a few ppl just pulled out and we've burnt through the waiting list,
so there is currently one free slot.

Chelsea and I did this a few hack nights back. It's here:
https://github.com/tjmcewan/roro/wiki It was basically just a mediawiki ->
markdown conversion, but Github's implementation of both caused issues so some
bits still look crap. There's not that many pages that contain useless info
though.
I think someone commented once 'Why is a ruby group using a PHP based wiki?'
Could be an interesting project to kick off on a hack night, attribute
to the rorosyd group - be hacked on at #railscamp, and developed
further.
Just an idea.

Although Jason Crane has kindly requested we build a new RORO wiki so he
doesn't have to clean up so much spam...

Just to clarify, we'll be starting at the usual time of 6pm. Apologies for any
confusion.
Cheers,

Just a reminder that Hack Night is on tonight (in case you enjoyed your long
weekend so much that you forgot).
Please double check the wiki if you were on the waiting list, as there has been
a few changes.
See you tonight!
