Zack, I agree with your change to an 8. I have a 9 with Silver Shifters (I don't think the shifters make a difference) and I will likely go to 8. The range is too tight and I find that I overshift...I simply don't need a nine. My experience is that 8 with friction shift works great. Jeff On Apr
