Thanks! They're WTB prowlers, which seem to work just fine for the terrain around the bay area. For most of it, slicks are fine, but there is some loose stuff I ran into out on the upper parts of mt. diablo that convinced me it would be nice to have better control in loose stuff (i.e. i fell!).

nah its just a little shelf wear no scratches. It was laced up to a NOS wheelset. I wanted the rims so I just unlaced them and put the hub on a shelf. The front hub is not available though. Guranteed to be unused and I didnt see scratches on the hub I just checked it again. if your not happy I

For what it's worth... I just returned from a 2-day ride on my Bombadil (with the Bullmoose bars and Ergon bar-end grips)... We did a combination of on and off- road, roughly 100 miles. These were super comfortable and I felt I had plenty of hand-position options with the bar-ends. Perhaps it's

Definitely get a Roadeo. It's a great bike with lighter tubing than the AHH. If you know you won't be carrying much load, it will do what you're looking for in an exemplary fashion. The Roadeo head angle for a 59 is 1 degree steeper than the AHH, and the top tube is about the same (58 vs 58.2), so

I would ask that heavier be defined. What is the difference 1lb 2lbs? Is it even significant? Much of the race feel would be in fit, lighter wheels, higher air pressures or even just a set of drifters. I guess the real question is.. will the geometry of the Roadeo make the ride feel

This is a tangent related to my Hilsen. It was my 7-year-old's birthday party at the pottery studio. Everybody picked a pre-made pottery piece and painted it. I made an A. Homer Hilsen coffee cup. I think it turned out pretty slick.
