Update on this: I found a non-Shadow Deore M591 at the local Performance Bike and put that on the tandem, worked perfect with the 12-36. Even worked with my Microshift brifters without even fiddling with the barrell adjuster or the b-screw, go figure. Shifted perfect into every gear. One thing

That sorta looks like the medium blue Newbaums, and is actually darker than the whatever-you-call-that-color of the Bleriot (I own one, and still can't decide if it's blue or green or both). What you might try is to get the light blue, then amber-shellac it down to a color that works for you. P

We have had zero problems with Shiftmate pulleys. Both instances using Campy 9-speed Ergo shifters with Shimano long-cage derailleurs and cassettes. I'd test our your current setup first without the Shiftmate. Campy and Shimano 9-speed cassette spacing is quite close. See the late great Sheldo

Doug, No, the bike has a set of the Surly Torsion bars on right now. Made by Nitto. They sweep back some, but starting to think not enough. For me, it's a weight issue. I have too much. Even with Ergon grips can't seem to keep numbness away. If I could get a set of Soma Clarence to fit, thos
