The Edelux 2 is brighter than the original Edelux and can be wired to a rear light. The updside down Edelux was not upgraded to the second version and you cannot hook up a rear light to it. My experimentation with dynamo lighting was with a Shimano dynamo and the upside down Edelux and it work
