I rode in that general region last summer and I really loved it. The route I took though was more central in the mountains and the forest roads were some of the best riding from that tour. The route roughly would have been to continue on 12 to Randle then turn onto 131 continuing on to NFD-29.

I have a 58cm Homer. Recent build; I got it in May this year. So it is the largest of the 650b Homers, if that makes any difference. I am currently running the Compass Babyshoe Pass tires. The Babyshoes measure darn close to the advertised 42mm. I have Paul Racer brakes and P55 SKS Longboards.
