I'm normally proportioned, yet I bought a Wilbury as my forever bike in the
case I have hip trouble.

The new wheel will work with your drivetrain. You may need to adjust the
indexing a smidge to line up under the new cassette.

Thanks Joe and John,
I'm pretty happy with how good of a match the orange is.
Maybe a couple other small bits will get powder coated.
Holler if you see me Joe, you can take it for a cruise.

Sure, why not?
If you're fast enough so that the insignificant power losses for a non-SON
hub are significant, then you want something that shovels a lot of light a
long ways forward, and an IQ-X (or maybe a Luxos) is gonna be the way you
want to go.

Likely 19¢ in bearings and 3¢ of Greene along with $20 labor. Your LBS should
take good care of you. If not, they'll tell you that too.

Well, it does have to be the latest generation generator hubs - the new
SONs are a little better than the previous generation.

Free*wheel* 7-speed cassette rear hub.
A quiet knocking noise with weighted pedaling has started.
Hub spins gravelly in the hands, and when I pinch the 36-tooth cassette cog
between my thumb and index finger and wiggle, there is a tiny bit of play.
Do I need a new wheel, or can this be
I second this. A single speed and a geared all rounder sound good to me. 2

I too wear these in XL, and they are the next-best to MUSA - and if you
like slimmer fitting than MUSA, they're even better. Really comfortable,
light and bend freely in all the right places.

Hey Knicker Knerds:
As a fellow knerd, I ordered these from Trekinn.com in XL and they sent me
a small. Here's what they look like:

If you're serious, I can measure them for you.
BUT WAIT!

Retirement intentions? You will need a Cheviot for hauling groceries and
those days when you don't want to swing your leg all the way up. Being
your size I would recommend a custom Wilbury. You have my endorsement and
permission. Screw the guy behind you on the ferry.

Yup. The 19 is mint, 16's been ridden some to plenty. I'll post a photo and you
tell me what it's worth, but it'll be a week or so (gotta get home)

Beautiful dog, bike and trailer! The image of the Saluki pulling a dog in a
