Correctumundo. I used that rack with v-brakes on my first Clem (H) and I ended up with a bit of cloth tape on the rack arm that the brake wire straddled and rubbed on (that's a terrible idea, don't do it). You might get lucky with a long v-brake, but I don't think it's worth the trouble. --

I have a Hunqapillar fork with Schwalbe G-One 2.35s (~2.1 on synergy rims), Avid Single Digit v-brakes, SKS B-65 fenders and a Surly Front Rack. Works just fine. I'll probably get a little smaller tire for the next round with fenders because it's tight, but the v-brakes aren't the issue.
