[RBW] Bullnose bars for long gravel rides?

2017-12-24 Thread drew
It depends on the version. Vintage ones are not great for me. Hard to get high, and very flat/straight. New riv ones are much improved and maybe the best looking bar ever. That said, I think a map/ahearne style bar offers a similar yet better set of positions, and a more customizable fit. --

Yeah, no skidding for me, it's just what I've come to associate with fixed gear cycling, that and riding backwards in circles (anybody got that skill?) Might get some retention though. -Kai BK NY -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "RBW Owners Bunch"

Merry Christmas, gang! I'm building up a Stumpjumper to be an all-rounder/gravel bike to complement my Ram for roads. I was thinking about putting Bullmoose bars on the SJ for better control on trails or slick roads, but was curious unsure how they would do over a longer ride on gravel or

Doesn't the Roadini use some of the same tubes as the Sam? And for the ones that aren't shared, how do they compare with the equivalent Sam tubes? I know a comparison like that, in addition to geometry charts, helps me to know how a frame will ride and perform. -- You received this message

Rod, that's awesome! I just set psi to 60 on the front unloaded tire and measured max width. For height (above rim lip), I rested the bottom edge of the caliper on the top of the rim; for the top edge of the caliper I rested a small spirit level on the top of the tire and measured up to that
