I'm just tossing this in the mix, but I don't have any experience with it,
or any other balance-type bikes. This one is just cool and handmade by a
guy local to Atlanta. It's expensive, but converts up a bike for an 8 year
old. I'll probably go with a Strider-like bike from Craigslist when the

rode it from when he was 1 until he got a pedal bike when he was 4. It still
fit, and he’s a tall boy. It has moved onto to grandson #2.

I'm mainly doing so to hull my son up Mt. Diablo on the Burley trailer bike so
we can bike camp together. It's not gonna happen otherwise. I'll report back as
things progress... likely a hub drive rear wheel kit. I'm
I’m jealous. I have dreams of an eClemL with discs modded on to haul my

Hey Riv'ians,
I have need of a Microshift barend shifter for either Shimano 10 or 11
speed mountain RD's. The 11 would be perfect, but 10 works fine since I
haven't bought the RD or cassette yet. This is going on another micro road
bike build for a 9 year old pal, so the budget is too tight for
