Hi
Is anyone here running the 700x57 version of this tire and if so, what sort of
actual widths are you seeing?
Thank you

I was too slow to jump on Phil’s FS post... Anyone else out there with a pair
of olive sackville hub area bags that they’d be willing to part with?
Thanks!

I know the Mini Front is somewhat suspect for carrying a loaded basket on ,
but is an M18 with the 4 struts (i.,e. 2 to the top of the fork mounts, and
2 to the mid fork braze ons) PLUS the diving board (or not) any better?

Any problems using it? What bolts needed to attach hoop?

Maynard used to come by City Cycle in San Francisco in 1990 and 1991 when I
worked there. He liked to hang out at bike shops and chat. Lent me his Time

Great guy!

no problems at all. I believe it needs two 3 mm allen bolts to attach hoop.

I knew him first as the motorcycle guy, he wrote (maybe still does) for a free
SF rag called City Bike. Then I saw him in one of the first Readers, plus
whatever that free cycling rag was called. California Bicyclist?

I feel I have forgotten an important piece of bicycle wisdom:
My Tallux stem can only go about 125mm into the fork on my Hunqapillar,
but is it safe to tighten the stem where it bottoms out, or should I raise
the stem above this point before tightening the stem bolt?
If so, how far,
I believe the area you want to avoid tightening it is where the threads are,
and right at the point where it bottoms out. I think raising it a tiny amount
above the bottoming out point is safe. That’s my recollection, at least.

Yes, you want to raise it enough to avoid the butted section right at the
bottom. The headtube narrows down there; you want the wedge fully gripping
straight walls.

1 millimeter will do, but if that doesn't get you where you want to be,
shortening the quill's no big deal.

bottomless))

Hi Ted,
The SO doesn't seem to sync with me quick as well as the QB or the AHH.
When I ride the QB or AHH I think I'm riding the perfect bike, but the SO
is just good. I think the most likely reason for the difference is the
tires. The builds of all 3 and my positions on all 3 are similar---
"quite," not "quick" above. I wish there were a way to correct these minor
errors after posting, other than *this* way.

Owning Ram, Atlantis, AHH, and QB, I say QB without a doubt is closest to AHH.
