Another note about bedrock classic (non cairn). They are basically paper thin
and easy to roll up. great/small/easy to carry on a trip or tour where you’ll
primarily be wearing shoes but want a sandal alternative for some parts.

My favorites used to be Keen Newport H2 but my newest pair weren’t as
comfortable, I tried Chico’s but like others have stated they are heavy and

fit they disappeared on my feet. I like the fact that I don’t have heel

fine for you. I didn't care for the 44cm Noodles I was given, I

Thanks for writing up your adventure, Tim. The Joe looks set up for the

I'm confused, Justin. What exactly do you disagree with? Because it sounds like
you agree with everything I wrote, with the possible exception of transition
details. I only gave the details of my transition to barefoot for context, not

I bought a pair of Bedrocks at the beginning of the warm weather this year
in the Hudson Valley. Previously I had a pair from Merrell that I liked a
lot, but they both broke in the same place (a plastic loop that the heel

Hi Everyone! I would like to share a link to a blog post I wrote

I think what Brewster is getting at is it warrants new Rivendell decals. You're
going to get burned on the price selling as is.

A semi-brief comment in general on minimalist shoes/sandals: They are
wonderful. No cushion, thin as possible, no support, and foot shaped (w-i-d-e

and flat feet. Going barefoot strengthened my feet, shortened them

I can't comment on the Chacos but I do own the Bedrock 3D Cairn. I
absolutely love these! I've been wearing them nearly everyday this summer.
I originally ordered the Classic model but returned them when I saw how
thin the soles were. You need the thicker sole to be comfortable on your
pedals

I don't understand why this is called a "Resurrectio" if you have the
paperwork that shows it was originally a custom Rivendell?! I know it has
been repainted, but shouldn't the original paperwork prove it was a custom?

Hi Chris,
Another list member mentioned the RM-013 above. I'm 6'5" - 97pbh and tried
a 48cm RM-013 but their sizing method is deceptive and different compared
to Noodles and possibly other models. It's more like ~43cm at hoods,
measuring 48cm at center to center of bar ends after flare. I

I’ve shrunk to just less than 6’1” and use 48 Noodles on my bikes. When
Bill Farrell brought out the Fit Kit, I was measured and moved from 40’s to

Grant got them and then 48s when they came out. I still like long stem

I was told by the Bedrock guys when I bought mine that the Pro wears much

We should start a ROG Sandal Exchange Program! Thank you for the comments
on the differences, that was my take as well. I did notice there is a
different pattern in the footbeds between the regular and pro, so it made
me curious if that material was somehow different too.? Not sure I need
I'm 6'3", ~95cm PBH IIRC, and use 46cm Nitto M151's on my 64cm Rambouillet. The
M151's are pretty square (no flare to the drops) so the hoods are probably
close to 46cm apart. This is perfect for a road bike fit. If I were setting up
a drop bar off road bike I may consider something wider
This is exactly why they fit me, but like all shoes made from recycled
rubber, Chacos have finite life, and fail with surprise. Merrills fit me
the same way and last much longer.

I am 6'1" and use the 46cm Noodle bars. I have been using the 46cm size for
about a decade and have no complaints. I am going to try a set of 42mm
Noodles on the next build, just because.

Robert,
I think you touched what's possibly the dividing line!
Achilles tendonitis or plantar fasciitis will change the way you assess
shoe fit. I've had a go at both and now I use Birkenstock 3/4 footbeds in
my shoes at work. Chacos have more contouring of their footbed, like a
