Congratulations, Emily! I'm so happy for you and am looking forward to
hearing about your impressions of the bike once you get it out on a ride.
I was visiting my brother who lives near Portland, so I went to Golden
Pliers on Sunday. What a great shop! Kevin and Becky are such nice
folks.
How exciting! Emily, I cannot wait to hear about your first rides. Did
they have at ETA for it to be in your hands?
I'm on the east coast and not close to Analog Cycles who is building my
bike, so I'll have to live vicariously thru the new Platy owners in the
west until I can make the trip
Extremely cool

Justin, thanks for posting a pic, your San Marcos looks ready for an adventure!
How much of an influence do you think the double top tube has on the stability
of your front load vs. a rear load? Thanks,

Cool bike that I see on Craigslist pretty regularly with no price (price is in
the Blahg, I see). Makes me really interested in how the Roaduno will end up
based on what Grant says here.

there’s probably no way I’m
Here's something cool linked in the latest (when I'm writing this) Riv
email. I owned this bike! I bought it as a frame, no fork, and built it up
super nice..the end result is what you see in the pics. Rare and fun, but
utterly useless on the hill I lived on at the time so now this Brandon
I'm going to put a link to a very good article on cassette standards (or

I ran across this article when I was preparing to order a rear hub
Another trick to add: Put your shifters in position so if ye olde bike
thief hops on they'll immediately have the chain crunching and jumping to
lower gears, essentially rendering the getaway over.

Another voice of dissent here, I use velcro straps that weigh nothing to
engage my brake levers when I'm within eyeshot of my bike. Any would be
thief will be confused by the locked up brakes long enough for me to run to
my bicycle's defense.

Thanks for this; in many colors too!
I'll archive this link, but for now, after trying all 3 types of pedals,
I'm inclined to buy a pair of casual, rubber-soled lace up shoes to use
with clips and straps.
