Without knowing much about the trail, I would have thought it was too rough/rugged for the Rambouillet?! Impressive, if it is indeed as much off-pavement as I thought it is! For current models, I think I'd go with a Joe Appaloosa, with 2.1-2.2" semi-slick XC type tires and a Choco bar on a

It's technically still available, you just have to ask Grant to have your custom built as a mid-'90s All Rounder. The cost to resume a Waterford production run would put the frame perilously close to custom range anyway. Joe Bernard On Monday, July 19, 2021 at 7:42:31 AM UTC-7 S. Greco wrote:

Do Pletscher racks still mount by clamping the seatstays, or do they mount to holes in the seatstays like most other racks nowadays? I might be slightly interested in the rack, but it would matter how those mount. I did not see it still listed on the Riv website, which seems kind of sad.

I've got the longest faceplate stem (135) holding Bosco bars on my Sam and while I haven't experienced any slipping, it does creak. Had me perplexed for awhile because it only creaks when I'm holding the grips (max torque on the stem) I ride a lot on the center of the bar near the stem

Regarding issues, I have not had any with mine (though I am a small guy with not way-back bars like boscos). I tend to keep the M5 bolt torque to 5 nm (got a little preset torque wrench from my local Trek store that just has piles of the things) and that tends to keep things from slipping. For

Of course there's always the possibility you got a bad tolerance match between clamp and bar diameters. I've been swapping bars and stems for 30-odd years and sometimes you just get a bad combination. Including with Nitto. On Sunday, July 18, 2021 at 10:02:53 PM UTC-7 Joe Bernard wrote: >
