Zach Gallardo runs a fixie-oriented Youtube channel and recently posted a
good "Best Drop-bar" video that is Rivendell and Nitto specific.

Thank you, Garth! I hoped if I held out long enough someone would come
through with a site that offers "bush shirts" in 100% rayon. This site
looks very promising.

This just in: The size 10 American $20 Target plimsolls (bought, again, for
clips and straps off road) are *very* big for 10s, and *very* wide. They
are much bigger than the size 11 Specialized "2FO" SPD shoes I bought
earlier in the summer. A 9.5 would have been better, and I daresay they run

Hey John,
Thanks for writing. A little push is welcomed by me.
I gave it a crack maybe two weeks ago with atj ~127 mm wide spindle.
As I tightened down the bolt into the driveside crank, the 30T inner ring
crept closer and closer to that curved chainstay that I love.
I thought about not cranking
Agree on the minimalist shoes and flat pedals. I wear Xero shoes. They are
wonderful and grip well. Enough sole but not too much.

Yep, good handy material to have around. I added supports to my trunksack
with it because it was a bit too floppy when empty.
Always plentiful in recycle bins and piles.

I'd like to finally get around to doing a Riv ride Sun Sept 5th Labor Day
weekend. It'll be a long, slow ride and I'll bring along my S24O set up in
case anyone would like to see it. I'd like to see other people's gear as
well. I love to get ideas from other people. I'm thinking about 40 mil

I have to second the recommendation for Merrell Trail Glove shoes for flat
pedal riding. I’d been having all sorts of weird foot numbness and, after
noticing that my PT was wearing Lem’s and asking about “foot shaped shoes”,
went to try some on and ended up with some clearance Merrell Trail Glov
I bought a pair of Merrell Trail Glove minimalist trail running shoes to
try with my bike (has bmx pedals). They are super light and have a "rock
plate" in the sole that makes it stiff over the arch of the foot. It
basically makes it better for supporting your foot on flat pedals.

That looks like a quintessential Clem decked out as Grant envisioned. Even
the scratches on the fenders are apropos. I doubt you'd find a complete
build nicer than that specimen.

Yes! Many thanks to the numerous notices I received about the posting. I
have reached out to the seller and waiting to hear back. eBay is not my
favorite medium for discussions but such is life. I will report back,
hopefully with good news!

Hey Matthew,
Did you get the width of your axle figured out for your double crank? If
so, I'd like to hear (and see) how your build came out.
Cheers,
John
