It’s funny, if you look under bikes and hit geometry there is an apology
that they are working on it but if you search geometry you get the above
info. Hard to sell bikes when you hide info.

Hey Eric,
How are you doing? Is my wife’s Pugsley working out for you? It took five
months to get all of the necessary parts! Hope to cross paths with you
again sometime! If I remember correctly, I believe you have a Soma San
Marcos, which is a cool bike and part Rivendell :-)

Laing - Thank you for the suggestions. BTW I like your term ‘mechanical
malpractice’. Growing up on a small farm we committed this offense on
numerous occasions in order to get through a day of work before we could
get replacement parts.
Joe - Thank you for your opinion. The fact that it shifts
That's a nice bike! I disagree with the suggestions to swap the fd, those
suckers are easy to get wrong and screw up your shifting. It works, you can
ride, I'd keep it.

Patrick - Thank you for the suggestion. I do agree with the aesthetic
considerations, but as you surmised it does shift without any problems.

Sorry, itchy trigger finger, hit "send" too soon. Laing did not deny the
mechanical efficacy.

Danny- Thank you, Hope to run into you sometime!
Laing- Thank you for the input. I had a feeling that the front derailleur
would be mentioned. It does shift fine, but I will look at options. This
was the derailleur suggested to me. Do you have any suggestions?

I agree with Laing aesthetically but disagree with Laing mechanically. A
10-speed LX fd shifted the 38/24 subcompact double on my erstwhile Fargo
just fine: It had been installed for a 46/36/24 triple, and when I swapped
the 46 for a bash guard, changed the 36 for a 38, and left the 24 in place,

Congratulations.
Nice bike, but sorry, I cannot help myself - please get a front derailleur
that actually fits the bike and the drivetrain. That derailleur is meant
for a triple crank and also the cage is too long for the chainrings used -
forcing the derailleur to be mounted too high. It may wo
Can someone measure their Sam and let me know the TT length? Just trying to
figure out the stem that I need for an upcoming build. The next Sam
shipment comes in August.
Thanks!

It was not the first time my responses to Alex went without reply, but we
have that worked out now. I also had looked at what his email was and
assumed the numbers@gmail was Google Group obscuring his real email
address.

Yes, the PM interface on Google Groups is miserable. I would encourage all
list members to use direct email addresses and be patient with sellers.

replies in spam, going back and replying now.
It's always a good idea to send emails directly to someone's email (some
did in this case and we synced up quickly)
