Pam, you rock! That's just the most awesome thing at a time when people
like you and events like this are needed so badly. Hero is right. Leah,

Thanks for the link, Leah. Pam, thank you for all you do. Your positive biking enthusiasm is infectious. Congratulations on the lovely video profile. I’m a NC native and visit frequently, and I look forward to joining for a ride in Charlotte one day. (And maybe the Asheville area ride….)JimOn Apr
Go Pam! You are an inspiration and a role model. Bicycle advocacy at its

Thanks for posting Leah. And for all the kind words. If everyone rode
bikes, think how much better we would all be. Each person, each
neighborhood, each city, each country, the planet. Rivs help make it all
the more enjoyable. Come ride w/me in Charlotte.

This is so cool! Pamela nailed it when she spoke about 'not being an
intimidating person, not being an athletic person, not being a mechanical
person...bikes are just that simple, that easy and that much fun.' But, her
best line, to my mind, is 'any bike ride is better than no bike ride'.

Congratulations, Pam! It's a very enjoyable story to watch.

Justin- are you able to ride no-handed withe basket/bag/weight on the
front? I know the Geo changed between 2019 and 2021, mainly reach, TT

Spring time is for fenders and this weekend I put VO Fluted 700c 63mm
fenders on my Platypus. These are the widest fenders I'd recommend for
straightforward install - they fit without modification with some notes.
When trying to maximize tire clearance the fender line and installation

Hi George,
Probably not going into TN. We were talking about riding locally at Bent
Creek and the WNC Arboretum, possibly the River Arts District bike path,
and maybe a low traffic road ride around Montford and North Asheville. With

When you all call for a Riv ride "in" Asheville do you mean going over to
ride the loop at Cades Cove in Tennessee by any chance? Just curious.

So cool. Being from Georgia, I must say I love and appreciate Pam's accent.
She makes good points about riding on roads being relatively safe if you
learn to do so properly. The health benefits outweigh the risks I believe
you said and I concur.

Our very own RivSister Pam Murray was recently featured as a local bike
hero in Charlotte, NC. The footage is just beautifully captured, displaying
sweeping drone views of the city as well as up close views of Pam’s beloved
Rivendell Betty Foy as well as the legend herself.
Pam’s Rivendell was
I will be in North Carolina from July 1 thru July 9 - The weekend before

Hi,
There was some talk about a Riv ride in Asheville this spring but a May
date won't work for lots of people. If there's still any interest in a
meetup, how would a July or mid-Sept weekend work for folks? If there's
enough people interested I would be happy to try to nail down a date for
Where are you located and are you willing to shipas I am located in
Georgia? What size person would you say it too big for this bike? If you
have other riv bikes, what model size would you say is most close to this
size. Thanks in advance.

I *did* neglect the coin keepers. Those were in a FREE! box along with
several dozen of their siblings; same with the SKS minipump, which I
grabbed because it's light and Schrader-only. Something to hand off to the
first 26"/27"/29er rider I run into looking dumbfounded at their flatted
tire).
