+1 for the Ritchey Force stems; IME they clamp bars more immovably than
single-bolt Nitto stems possibly because of their wider clamps.
And +1 for using 25.4 mm steel stems with 26.0 bars. I used to regularly

Seems to be good agreement on the clamp mismatch.
Ron replied to a query about it with "the 4 bolt will meld to the slightly
larger diameter just fine -- if not a little better than a 1 or 2 bolt."

Yikes! I would love to add a Heron Touring to go with my Road, but this
Ebay listing is kind of a silly way to solicit real offers.

Tastes have changed. Disc brakes opened up a lot of design options for
randonneurs and touring bikes, making real rough stuff much more
manageable. I have no intention of trading in my thin walled rSogn 650b
rim brake or my beloved and much abused Marinoni Turismo. But I bought the

I purchased a VO Happy Stem in the 90mm length and used it for about 50
miles. It has VO's usual attention to details and polish. But I found
another solution and hoping someone can make use of it now.

Haha. $700 would be a very good deal.
I'm intrigued by. his front rack. I have two copies of that rack and mine
don't have a fender attachment point. That spot is pretty important for a
full coverage metal fender setup. I may throw him an offer for only the
racks, and see what happens.
Final bag is gone, thanks all and enjoy the warm weather.

That's very cool, Mike. The promo video really captures how much fun it
must be to ride those 20 turns, and it looks like there are some good
swimmin' holes in which to cool off! How long is the track?
Thanks for sharing.

you're running it's really easy to DIY a solution. The Busch and Muller
wires are just like speaker wires and you can splice them together with
very little effort. The wiring and connectors are available from a few
