I waited until my kiddo was 1 before putting her on the bike. Up until that
point I got her used to the idea of being on the bike so it wouldn’t seem
so weird to her. One thing that really helped was the drawing of the baby
on the bike on my Riv coffee mug! I would show her that and tell her
The current set up I have on my Ram is 11-36 in the back with a 52-42 up
front. I wasn't going to do the 36, but I had it and wanted to see how the
derailleur would handle it. It works great, but I'll probably change it
because I can't see a situation where I'll need to go that low.

Thanks, Kim! The pedals are Shimano DX PD-MX30. They're MTB pedals from I
think 2010 or so. They have removable pins and the part of the pedal body
where the spindle goes through is nice and concave...a must for me. I first
got a pair when some were donated to the shop I was working in and now
Sounds like a problem with the rim or rim tape. I'd replace the tape and
inspect the valve hole for any burrs or things like that.
